HO Scale Motor Car Section House Kit
This kit is a Union Pacific's Common Standard section tool house with side entrance. Designed from railroad blueprints, this laser-cut wood kit accurately models structures found across the Union Pacific system.
Adopted as a Union Pacific common standard on November 17, 1916, the original paint color for the structure was Colonial Yellow and Light Brown. Paint color varied over the years as UP adopted new standards. Not all structures received new paint, but in the 1920’s many of the buildings were painted gray with white trim. This scheme lasted into the 1930’s. Some of these buildings were painted white with a green trim section around the bottom three feet of the building in the mid-50’s. The kit is unpainted to allow modelers to detail for their era of interest.
