Covers not only the diesels but also historic steam locomotives, motive power on lease to Nacionales de Mexico, and even shots of retained passenger equipment. Includes schematic diagrams, overhead and side shots, etc. that will be invaluable for the modeler. The book also contains an excellent discussion of UP's efforts, under Frank Accord and Jack McDonough, to identify the best locomotives and increase reliability while decreasing fuel and maintenance costs even as they were absorbing the MP and WP fleets.
